Various First Nations - British
Design and project management services have been provided for the construction of several diesel-electric powerhouses and electrical distribution systems in remote communities. Total installed power has ranged from 70kW to 1MW and has included both air and liquid cooled generator sets. The systems generally involve multiple generators connected to an automatic synchronizing control panel and switchgear. Community overhead distribution systems up to 25kV have been installed in association with these projects.
Projects have also involved the installation or upgrade of fuel storage and transfer systems in accordance with current environmental and fire codes. Inter-tie with the BC Hydro grid and alternative energy solutions, such as small hydro and wind power, have also been studied for several remote communities.
